Fade up from Title Page

JCORR97

I have v 17.45. I have a concert video that I am cutting into song clips. I have a title clip on Video Track 2 that precedes and overlaps the song clip on Video Track 1 so that the audio starts under the title page. So far, I am unsuccessful at getting a dissolve between the black at the end of my title page and the concert footage. The Fade on Video Track 1 doesn't seem to accomplish this. Thanks for your help.

Fade the title slide in and out. Fade in the concert clip audio if desired via its audio track right-click menu.

Unlink video from audio on the concert clip via the right-click menu. At the time where the title fade in has completed, press the J key to split out video only .

Delete the small video clip that has just been isolated.

This helped a lot. Using Video Track 2 for the title slide was the key.

Thank you!
