VideoPad still has issues

One bug that has been staying the last several versions is one where the red slider in the timeline exceeds past the line of files.

Also, in addition, a new bug has appeared. In the zoom effect, when I drag the dotted square, the clip zooms in while doing so, even when it's not supposed to, as the image was meant to stay in the same place in the editing square, except for in the video preview.

Can you please make the video editor always work normally?

Zoom is being worked on, and should be good in the next release. For now try 17.14. Ignore any security or virus warning. If a release is working well, there's no need to update. New versions can always be test driven, to see what's new, whether registered or not. Just retain your purchased installer.

The timeline overshoot is an editing issue, not a bug. Right-click in the area that's unwanted and Close Gap In Sequence.

If that choice isn't available, place the red cursor at the desired end of the project, click on its top and then on the blue bracket...

Also, when I attempt to adjust the position of the text, the text doesn't match exactly with the position it's supposed to be in. This has also happened in the last past versions.

Don't see that in version 17.30, and of course the text can be dragged in preview to anywhere on the screen.

Now in 17.36, stuff keeps disappearing. The previews, and the thumbnails for files in the timeline. And when I apply the stretch to fill in effect on a clip, and then apply zoom effect afterwards on the same clip, the zoom effect is restricted to the original aspect ratio instead of sticking to the changed aspect ratio.

Why can't VideoPad ever stay normal? I'm positive VideoPad is possessed.

Haven't seen a 'disappearing' issue in 17.36. When starting a brand new project, go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files.

It's unclear exactly what you are attempting with Zoom and Stretch, but the order that effects are applied can make a difference.

In this example ZOOM isolated the red circle. Then the Stretch to Aspect Ratio effect was added. Choose the aspect ratio from the drop-down menu.

If that's not what you were doing, please explain more fully. Capture and link a video if possible. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, right-click the link and Share or Copy. Copy the result and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, click SHARE | SHARE and change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view.**

Also, the dialog box is still not staying in the center where it must. I know it's something experimental you're trying, but it's not natural. It looks off.

The company values users' opinions. Let them know how you feel.

Reinstalling Videopad, perhaps several times, may cause it to revert to the behavior you desire. No need to download again.
