Video is black but audio is there

I have recently downloaded videopad again after getting a new computer. When I upload videos I recently shot it does not show the video at all. Only the audio. It only happens with my most recent video clips. Previous videos I've made don't have this issue when I load them into the editor. It's very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (All clips are mp4). Thank you

Are you importing these videos into VP? Were the recently shot clips made by a different camera then those created earlier? What camera?

Please share a video clip or two that doesn't display and someone will check them out.

Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, right-click the link and Share or Copy. Copy the result and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, click SHARE | SHARE and change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view.**

Here is the link to the clips that dont work. They were shot on my GalaxyS23. Some of the previous clips that do work may have been shot on a different phone/camera.

This appears to have been fixed in the latest release. Give it a try.

Those files are 8K, which is likely well above the resolution needed for typical viewing. Suggest that you record at a lower resolution. Working with very hi-res content in any editor can be sluggish, if even usable - especially on lower-end PCs.

Proxy editing is often employed, where small files are made from the originals, edits completed, then the originals replace the proxies for the final edit. Consider whether your work really demands 8K.
