Hi everyone. This is very weird problem that I'm having which I definitely need some help with.
First, let me start off by saying that if I export the project to a video file, the file exports correctly and plays as expected.
Now for the weird parts. I opened my project file and when I started playing the sequence, the video clips were a completely different video file than what was in the "Video Files" list. When I looked at the "Video Files" list, I saw it showed AAA.mp4. So that was correct. When I right-clicked on the video and selected "Open file location", it took me to my AAA.mp4 file. When I played the AAA.mp4 file it was the video I expected. However, within Video Editor, when I played the AAA.mp4 file as a "Clip Preview", it actually played a completely different file, ZZZ.mp4. Also, when I played the timeline on any of the sequences, they also played as if clipped from the ZZZ.mp4 file.
So, what I did was went back to "Video Files", right-clicked on the video and selected "Replace File...". I selected the exact same file, AAA.mp4, that Video Editor already thought it was. After doing this, when I play the AAA.mp4 file in as a "Clip Preview", Video Editor now plays the correct file. Why it wasn't doing this before, I have no idea.
But now I still have the problem with all of the timeline clips in the sequences. When I play the timelines within Video Editor, they play as if the clips are still from the ZZZ.mp4 file. So it looks really weird. But, as I started this topic by saying, if I export the project as a video file, it does export correctly, clipped from the AAA.mp4 file.
With this all being said, I have no idea how Video Editor got AAA.mp4 mixed up and was somehow pointing to ZZZ.mp4. I think I got that solved. But what I really need now is some way for the timeline clips in the sequences to show as if clipped from AAA.mp4, not ZZZ.mp4. It's like the clip previews in the timeline need to be regenerated. Anyone know how to do this?
