Can't save as mp3

Been using the software for 10+ years. I occasionally load a file and increase its volume level and save it as an mp3 - about 2 months ago it suddenly quit letting me save anything in mp3 format - any ideas or ways I can fix this issue?

Try reinstalling the program. Test the latest Windows release. Ignore any virus warnings.

For one-time licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, MP will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert.

Error message is: project could not be exported. Mixpad encountered a unknown error.

You indicate that the project won't Export, as opposed to Save. Share that project, and someone will take a look.

Select File->Save Project AS. This will create a folder that contains all files necessary. Zip that folder and upload it to free cloud server. Then get a shared (public) link and post it here.

If using Google Drive for the upload, click SHARE | SHARE and change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view.")

It's every file I have - I tried the save project as - same error message - a lot of them are already mp3 files and I'm just raising the volume so they match when they play back.

Radar Love - its an mp3 file - just wanted to raise level of volume but can't save as mp3 - it will save as a wma or whatever, just not an mp3

Your linked audio exports in MP as either a mix or individual track mp3, using the drop-down menu that appears when clicking the caret to the right of the Save toolbar button.

In order to save the project, ignore my earlier instruction. Follow this path to save to Google Drive.

Then in Google Drive right-click on each item...

For each item, click SHARE | SHARE and change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." Then COPY. Post the two copied links here.

Then someone can download both the control mpdp file and the folder containing the source files.

Or simply Export As Audio File (from the above menu), and select mp3. That should mix the tracks and result in an mp3. Does here.

it saved as 3 diff things - i don't have a clue how to combine to get an mp3 but i never had to do that before - all ive ever done is just hit save as an mp3

Sorry, those links still don't include the Project Data files, as described above. But the mp3 source file does save as an mp3 here via the methods outlined.

Another thing to try is to uninstall with this free utility. When it prompts for scanning the registry, delete all the files that it lists. Then reinstall MP.

Did you install the latest Windows release? Even if not licensed, it should work as a trial. You might also test an older release. Many are available here.
