"Zoom" effect stretching by itself

In the most recent version of VideoPad, when I attempt to use the "zoom" effect by stretching the dotted square, the square stretches into a different position by itself, and the cropped portion of the video is wider than I wanted.

Have you set the Aspect Ratio box to the specific dimensions desired?

ZOOM is a bit flaky in the 17.21 release. Use this one instead. Ignore any virus warnings.

If a specific version is working well for you there's no need to update. Newer releases can be test driven, whether registered or not. Retain your purchased installer.

The bug happening happens whether I drag the dotted square or use the slider in the aspect ratio box.

I installed the new 17.26 release and it's worse. The snapping/stuttering aspect ratio error went away, but now I can't even see the dotted square, unless I check the "preview effect" square; when I do set it, and try to set it to a certain aspect ratio, the wrong ratio is set.

Yes, see that in 17.26. 17.14, does it correctly. Ignore any virus warnings.
