Unable to cut tiny fragments and auto-complete subtitles for full length of video

Hi; I am seemingly unable to cut a fraction (2 seconds) of the start of my video. I have a pause there before I start talking and want to get rid of that. I use the scissor option but no luck.

Additionally I am unable to create auto subtitles for the entire length of the video. The results constantly vary. One time it will complete for the entire length of the video (14 min. long). For another video it will stop at 3 minutes, for another video it will not go beyond 8 minutes.

Solution for both options would be great.

What version of Videopad is being used? Look at the bottom-left corner of the window.

Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. No need to upload the individual VPJ or export file.
Get link --- Right-click the file and click SHARE. If using Google, right-click the file, click SHARE | SHARE. Change "restricted" to "anyone ... can view"
Share --- Click COPY LINK or OK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately. It won't be shared.

* Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

Don't forget to change "restricted" to "anyone can view" if using Google Drive for the upload.
