Hi. I don't know how common this is. I've tried looking online and on this forum to find answers but I've struggled so far.
Videopas is often quite laggy for me. It really depends on the size of the project I'm working on, but anything close to an hour will get very laggy and I just can't work in it. The more edits I make, the worse it gets. The solution I've found so far is to work a little, export the current project and then start fresh with the new video file, as it has less edits and somehow videopad handles it better ? I clean the disk cache very frequently as this is the only thing i read online to do about this issue, but it doesn't seem to help much.
Recently, I worked on a Mac in my university to edit a small video project in Final Cut Pro, and I was baffled to see how smooth it was there, so I don't think the lag I have on my software is "normal". Well, it's hard to compare two different softwares on two different platforms, but I'm also not sure my PC is the problem. It's a good gaming PC with those specs :
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz
16,0 Go of Ram
64 bits
Windows 10
Anyway, thanks for the help !
(ps: I'm not doing anything crazy as far as editing goes, it's usually cutting things here and there, speed ups and this kind of things)
