Playback in editor not working

In trial version, the sequence played back, but audio only. Video track showed only a flickering black screen. I could hear audio fine. A track of text I added appeared OK except for flickering when fading in and out. I exported to MP4 and video and audio played without any problems. I then purchased Home Version and the problem in Video Pad editor is the same. Here are my system specs:

OS - Window 10 Pro, 64-bit
Computer Model - Hp-z210 Workstation
Processor - Xeon CPU E31230 @ 3.2 GHz, 3201 Mhz, 4 Cores, 8 Logical Processors
RAM - 32 GB
Video Card - NVIDIA Quadro 2000, 1 GB RAM
Resolution - 1920 X 1200 X 59 hertz
Bits/Pixel - 32
DirectX 12
Hard Drives - three 1-TB SATA drives all with more than enough empty space.

I believe the original video was made with a recent model iPhone. Please let me know how to correct this error. If it cannot be corrected, I will request refund.

Unfortunately, I tried that release and now my video will not load at all. So, worse. Any other suggestions?

What version did it download - look at the left-bottom corner of the VP window? If it is 17.07, install this release.

If the problem persists please share the project. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps...

Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. No need to upload the individual VPJ or export file.
Get link --- Right-click the file and click SHARE. If using Google, right-click the file, click SHARE | SHARE. Change "restricted" to "anyone ... can view"
Share --- Click COPY LINK or OK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately. It won't be shared.

* Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
