Thank you, but what's this message about ASIO stuff all about?

borate

Don't know anything about ASIO, except that it stands for Audio Stream Input/Output, a computer audio interface driver protocol developed by Steinberg that allows audio software to communicate directly with hardware audio interfaces.

No messages here refer to it. Must be related to your PC.

ronkleim

If you hit the headphone icon in mix pad you get an error message:

"You can only monitor tracks which are configured to record with ASIO compatible hardware"

I read somewhere thls has to do with latency issues during recording.

Now I hear the single thru the built in PC speakers but not through the headphones.

Jeeze

Ai, which isn't always accurate, has this to offer. If nothing else, it will keep you busy😊...

"When you check the "Listen to this device" box in Windows 11 sound configuration, you're enabling a feature that allows you to hear the input from a recording device through your output device. The issue you're experiencing, where sound is heard through the built-in PC speakers but not through the headphones, can occur due to a few reasons:

Incorrect output device selection: The system might be routing the audio to the wrong output device.

Headphone connection issues: Ensure your headphones are properly connected and recognized by the system.
Audio driver problems: Outdated or corrupted audio drivers can cause unexpected behavior.

To correct this issue, try the following steps:
Check output device settings:
- Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings"
- Under "Choose your output device," make sure your headphones are selected

  Verify headphone connection:
Unplug and replug your headphones if they're wired
For Bluetooth headphones, disconnect and reconnect them

Update audio drivers:
Open Device Manager (right-click Start button and select "Device Manager")
Expand "Sound, video and game controllers"
Right-click your audio device and select "Update driver"
Disable audio enhancements:
- Go to Settings > System > Sound > More sound settings
- Select your audio device, click Properties
- Go to the Enhancements tab and check "Disable all enhancements"

  Run the audio troubleshooter:
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters
Run the "Playing Audio" troubleshooter

If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to check if your headphones are set as the default communication device in addition to being the default playback device

. Also, ensure that the correct playback device is selected in the specific application you're using for recording.

Now I can hear the incoming signal but it it noticably delayed.

Does anybody actually use mixpad to actually create anything?

Not fun

Shitty

borate

No doubt many do. Drop a line to the company, referencing this thread.

ronkleim

You are very kind.

Do you get anything done with mixpad?

I have very extensive experience with this shit and so far I see crap .

What do I want for free?

How about :

instructions for:

INPUT

OUTPUT

PLAYBACK

OVERDUB

I use a lot of software

Mixpad is " Kaufka- like" in its diabolical encouragement to actually record anything.

BRILLIANT GARBAGE

Hi ronkleim. I have the same issue. How did you ultimately resolve it?

Thanks
