VideoPad Record not launching camera

Has anyone run into an issue with VideoPad not launching cameras in the record section?

The cameras show on the device list but will not launch. I've tried three different cameras. This did work until 3/14/25.

No other video capture programs are running.

I've checked operation outside of VideoPad and all work.

I've uninstalled and re-installed software, run driver upgrades etc.

What version of VP is running? Look at the bottom-left corner of the window.

Install this one. Reboot. Any change?

For one-time licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert.

Very. And unlikely that VP is at fault - especially since it worked until yesterday. Try it on another PC if possible.

I've loaded on my laptop... v17.07 working just fine

any ideas?

It works on the laptop? That hints that the Yoga has an issue. Did you update its video driver and Direct-X?

I found the solution... you have to have an audio source. My audio source was turned off in Windows as I was trying to use an outside source. Run audio through windows and camera connection works.
