Here's a potential workflow:
Convert PDF to MusicXML:
Use a specialized tool like ScanScore or ACE Studio's PDF to MusicXML Converter to convert your PDF sheet music to MusicXML format. These tools use Optical Music Recognition (OMR) technology to analyze and convert the sheet music.
Import MusicXML to Crescendo:
While Crescendo's MusicXML import capabilities are not explicitly mentioned, you could try importing the MusicXML file into Crescendo. If this doesn't work, you may need to use an intermediate step.
Alternative: Convert MusicXML to MIDI:
If Crescendo cannot import MusicXML directly, you could convert the MusicXML to MIDI using another music notation software, then import the MIDI file into Crescendo.
Keep in mind that the conversion process from PDF to MusicXML may not be 100% accurate, especially for complex scores or non-standard notation. You may need to review and edit the converted file for best results.
