I just re-imaged my laptop (I won't explain why, but it was necessary). I re-installed my licensed copy of VideoPad v13.80, restored my files and everything seemed to run fine. I was able to view some of the .mp4 files exported from VideoPad in the Windows Movies & TV app like I always have. But then, I tried to view one of the .mp4 video clips that I recorded months ago and loaded into VideoPad and I got an error message in the Wiindows Movies & TV app saying I needed a codec. These .mp4 files played on my computer just fine prior to the re-image.
Prior to this, I think I saw something pop up in VideoPad suggesting I load the HEVC extensions. (I am not sure where I actually saw this information about HEVC, but I took a screenshot of it just in case I needed the info.)
Anyway, when I saw that my .mp4 files were not playing, I did some research and read some things that suggested I install the HEVC video extensions. So, reluctantly, I did that. I was then able to play my old .mp4 files.
Next, I opened VideoPad and loaded one of my projects. I was surprised to see that many of the video clips that were loaded into my VideoPad Video Track 1 had a bunch of red and blue lines across them. When I play the track in VideoPad, I do not see the red/blue lines in the Sequence Preview.
Does anyone know what's going on here? Does anyone have any suggestions regarding what I should do?
Thanks!
