No Sound or incoming signal when option is set to my sound card

I recently purchased V16.57 when I recently bought a new computer. The problem I having is that there is no sound or signal incoming on my sound card using the audio options for sound source. (my sound card shows up in the list) The signal does however, appear on the USB audio and HID option and works via the internal computer sound card. I tried adding a "VPsetup" fix as suggested by Video Pad but no change. I had an older version for the past 2-3yrs and it has worked just fine. All other apps work perfectly with my Presonus sound card unit on the new computer. Appreciate any help. Thanks David

Tried this VP release on a new computer and still not working. Very frustrated that i can't talk someone in the company directly-

is there no "Tech Support" ?

That hints at an issue with PC settings. In Control Panel | Sounds, is this the checked choice?

Right-click the speaker icon at the bottom-right of the Windows taskbar and click Open Volume Control. Do the settings look like this?

Hi Borat. My settings show my sound card (not exactly same format ) as the prime for play and record. It works for all other applications - ie: Studio one software from Presonus, youtube, all video or audio playback except for the audio "video pad"

Interestingly , I tried the audio wavepad program from NCH (same audio from the video file i tested)and it wouldn't work under the option speakers 26C (name of my sound card) which BTW. is the only option in Video PAD. but did work when I used the option "MMESpeakers (Studio 26C) and also worked under Core Audio Speakers (Studio 26C)

I'm hesitant to try an older version - Which one? as I had don't want to overwrite the new paid version I purchased.

Try this release. No need to uninstall. Your purchased version can be reinstalled as well. Ignore any virus warning. Let us know.

Tried this release after uninstalling my purchased release. Same issue. Some additional info.,

The audio plays successfully via the internal laptop speakers but will not play via my Speakers 26C (Presonus box) Both options show up in the audio option list.

I see the audio waveform in the program but on the bottom left of the screen I don't see the VU meter moving. It does however show with the internal Realtek laptop Speakers

Is your sound card selected as the default in the PC's BIOS? This sounds like a PC configuration issue.

I tried going into the BIOS but only see something called Device Configuration - but no devices shown.

F Y I - The computer is using windows 11 pro. with an Intel CORE vPRO i7 processor.

As I said, the soundcard is my default and works for all other apps perfectly.

I should also mention that I bought a different computer back in January and that is the one that also didn't work. My current unit is a higher end reconditioned unit about a year old. I have sent this previously to the development team but no response as yet. David

A mystery. Same PC set up here, using the standard Windows RealTek audio capability of the motherboard.

You might check with Presonus, since the issue appears to be only with their device - if it was common to both PCs you mentioned.

If any further clues surface, they will be added here.
