Photostage fills up the c drive

In a large slide show project on a Windows PC the Users/AppData/Roaming/NCHSoftware/Photostage/Soundcache file got huge (about 20GB) and filled up the c drive causing programs to slow down or crash. The actual size of the sound (music) in the project is 641MB. Why is this cache so big and can it be moved to another drive where there is more room?

The General tab of the Preferences is where you set up cache parameters and adjust some settings for slides. Default cache folder - Specify a folder where you want to store cached data. Maximum allowed cache size in MB - Specify the maximum allowed hard drive space to be used by the cache.
