I've been a long time user of Express Invoice, going back to 2011, using the same version of software from the start. Last year I decided it was time to upgrade to the latest version 9.46, since then I seem to have had constant problems, I've reached out on numerous occasions but not got a solution to my issues yet. Problems include:

VAT and Tax% columns not always (mostly) don't show any figures in them.

When you enter a prefix in the Invoice Options and save, if you open the Options again, the box is blank.

After you have created an invoice and select 'Record and Preview' it will do it this time, but you have to select that option again for the next invoice, rather than it being automatically selected like it was in the previous version of the software.

When I try and email an Invoice I get this message "Encryption required for requested email server' I've tried different emails by different providers but still get the same issue.

I have four different companies set up, but I'm not sure if the automatic backup is working for each company, as when I look at the back-upped data, in particular the customer list, I can only see customers for one company.

I have reinstalled the software several times, but still have the same issues, not sure what to do.

I've now been told by technical support: "There has been a recent change to the SMTP protocol used in all NCH Software products for sending emails. This issue has been reported to the developers for further testing. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimate for when this will be resolved. However, as soon as we have updates to share, we will notify you by email".

As we send our invoices out by email, we now can't, this is having a major impact on our business, and we have no idea when this will be sorted, hopefully it's a priority and a resolution is found quickly and within a couple of days.

Is anyone else having problems emailing invoices?

Any resolution to the ongoing problems, I reported about. I'm having to email Invoices using MAPI and Thunderbird, but this doesn't always work. If I try and send a batch, then usually after one or two getting sent successfully, the rest fail and I have to close down both the invoicing software and Thunderbird and start again. This really isn't good enough.

Still no solution and no pending update to the software, it's as if NCH don't care and have given up on the software.

Have faith. Rumor has it that the issue has been fixed on Macs, and Windows is next.

Earlier releases can be installed from the repository. Ignore any virus warnings.

Hi I'm on Windows 11 and for some months I cannot email customers. I am told that it is a problem in UK and wil be told when it has been fixed but I have heard nothing.

Should I just wait??

I haven't purchased the extra help option but would it make any difference.
