Keep having an extra track at my workspace

Ray1981

Why do I keep having an extra track on my workspace? The link below shows what I mean. I use nly two video tracks but still I have an extra 3rd track which I don't us and actually it annoys me. But i think it is because I'm a rookie.

How do I get rid of it, the R-mouse click delete empty tracks don't work, hopefully someone can point out to me what I do wrong here.

Extra track

Thanks in advance

If there's no content on the track, try clicking at the left and Delete Track.

I have tried that 🙂 but no success.

A strange one. An audio 3 track but no associated video.

Let's see the project. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps...

Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. No need to upload the individual VPJ or export file.
Get link --- Right-click the file and click SHARE. If using Google, right-click the file, click SHARE | SHARE. Change "restricted" to "anyone ... can view"
Share --- Click COPY LINK or OK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately. It won't be shared.

* Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

First of all sorry for the late response I did not notied more responses were here but I found now the follow button 😉

I still have the issue and I guess it is not related to the project because I started a new project and still have extra tracks appearing without the possibility to delete them. So as you requested I made a backup fiile (35MB) and share the link here below. I hope someone can figure out what goes "wrong"here or maybe it is normal behaviour

Not seeing that. There is no audio. Yet one audio track will always be shown. You can rename that track; right-click and Rename Track to track 1.

If that doesn't satisfy, install this release.

For one-time licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert.
