Not recognized on macbook

I’ve been typing just fine and all of a sudden my foot pedal stopped working. I’ve tried unplugging everything except the foot pedal. No luck. I tried 3 other usb ports. No luck. I’ve restarted the MacBook with the foot pedal plugged in and not plugged in. No luck. I’ve been working on this for over 3 hours. Any suggestions?

Now I got “usb accessories disabled. Unplug the accessory using too much power to re enable usb devices.” My foot pedal is the only thing plugged in and I need it to be able to work.

When I was in that situation, I had no idea what to do...
