Text composer (a suggestion for improvement)

A suggestion for improvement, I often have to place text in a random place to describe an object.

It seems clumsy and unstable at the moment, a blank page appears where it should be the video clip, you can move the text anywhere on the blank page, but many times it jumps back to the default location.

If my criticism is wrong, I would be very happy to receive guidance on how to do this, thank you in advance.

Test this release and see if the issue persists. Please report back.

It's unclear just what is happening. In the text composition window, are you dragging the text? It never 'jumps' here.

If possible, post a video that demonstrates the problem.

Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, right-click the link and Share or Copy. Copy the result and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, click SHARE | SHARE and change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view.**

For one-time licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert.

Nothing has changed
But it seems to work if you remember to switch off align to top so that only align to left is selected, you apparently need to select at least one fixed position for the text, but you still work blindly on the blank page regarding the position of the text.
It would also be smart to have a text bubble with an arrow.

There should be no blank page. Confirm that the color of the text contrasts with the background color, or it may not be visible.

Select the text, then change the color or BG. Post that video if possible so others can see what you see.

It's not what you mention that is the problem, although I have made that mistake too.

For now, install this release and see if the issue persists. Ignore any virus warnings.

It seems to work. But isn't it an older version?

Slightly older. But many 'updates' are simply maintenance releases. If what you're using is working well there's no need to update.

You can always test drive newer releases - whether registered or not - and revert. No need to UNinstall.

You stumbled upon a bug that hadn't been reported - until now. No doubt it will be fixed in an upcoming release.

Check out the latest beta release, where the issue appears to have been resolved. Bear in mind that this is a test release.
