Not happy with the conversion speeds on PRISM

Ive just purchased Prism, because I've heard good things previously, but how DISSAPOINTED could I be. I'm trying to convert some .mkv files to .mp4, with each file being about 200MB.

The first file I tried (JUST 1 FILE) to convert took just under 8 hours!!!!!!. So, unless I'm doing something seriously wrong, I can't believe or figure out why it takes so long on a laptop with: 8GB RAM, AMD A6-4400M APU, and a 600GB HDD running Win10 +64bit Home.

Any thoughts about where I might be going wrong?

if I can't figure this one out soon, I will be asking for my money back, I am not spending nearly $80AUD for something that doesn't work as expected.

It could be due to the hardware limits. Prism depends a lot on CPU and your AMD A6-4400M is quite old. Try lowering the output quality settings or enable hardware acceleration if the option exists. Using an SSD instead of an HDD may also improve speed.

I have been using Prism for a few years, on a now 9 year old laptop with just the on-board Intel GPU. I thought it was normal for conversions to take forever - easily hours for larger files. I was shocked to try a rival product (just ask Gemini) and find such conversions need only take minutes or even seconds. NCH Invision need to up their game and bring Prism into this century.
