Jumps forward on editing

Here's a frustration I've had for several weeks with Videopad 16.39. Often when I place the red cursor on a point I want to edit then push play, the cursor will jump to the next clip (or further) then start to play. This makes it difficult to edit a video, because I have to set the cursor one or two clips back, then allow the video to run up to the point I want to edit.

Am I missing a setting or is this a bug in the program?

Install this release, which should take care of the issue.

For one-time licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert.

Once again my videopad is acting up. I have put together a video with several segments. Anytime I place the cursor at any point on any video segment, then push play, it immediately jumps back to the start and plays there. There is no way I can edit any other segment, other than letting it run to a new point. I'm using VIdeopad 16.49, 64 bit.

I've reinstalled the program and it is now ok, but why do I have to keep doing this?

That's fixed in this release. Not seeing a problem at this end.
