Vst, VST2, VST3 compatability with Mixpad

What is compatable with mixpad?

A WEB search returns "Mixpad supports both VST2 and VST3."

It doesn't seem to support all VST3 plug-ins. I bought a VST3 plug-in called Rain from Boom Library and it doesn't even detect it.

Perhaps the company can provide insight. Drop them a line.

I have been using NCH MixPad for about 8 - 10 months (my first ever DAW experience) and decided today to establish a user ID and password for this forum. My desire was to find any information that I could regarding MixPad problems with third party VST3s. There are nine posts over four years, so I don't suppose that this has been a front burner issue for the NCH technical team. At this point I have several nice, purchased VST3s that open automatically in another DAW, and without having to define a path. I don't like the other DAW nearly as well as MixPad so, hopefully, NCH technicians read these posts. When I pay for something I like to be able to use it.

See if this version accepts the plug ins. Ignore any virus warning.

For one-time licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, Mixpad will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert.

If no joy, contact support.
