Why can't VideoPad ever work normally?

In every most recent version of VideoPad, the software always seems to have one problem after another, interfering with its performance, and having erratic behavior. In the most recent release (16.47), for example, when I try to move the playback arrow in the timeline around, the playback arrow bounces to the wrong spot as if it's haunted.

Test the 16.49 beta (keeping in mind that this is a test release) and you may find that the issue has been resolved.

If VP is working well there's no need to update, but newer releases - often with just minor changes - can always be test driven, registered or not.

That version doesn't work normally either, and neither does 16.50 (beta or not). Also, the error with the dialog box appearing in areas other than the middle is back.

Can't spot an issue with dialog boxes here. Which boxes?

The jumping cursor appears to be fixed in the current release.
