Video files freeze after loading

Hi all

Since the new update (16.44 - licensed) i can't work any project on Videopad.

After loading, the video files freeze and act like jpg... i spend lots of time on my video and i need help.

Before the update i had no problem at all.

I tried to uninstall / empty caches / reboot PC / re-install, as the NCH support told me to but the same issue appears.

Unaware of a 16.44 version? Try this release, for now. Ignore any virus warnings.

I tried yours and the issue remains.

I tried to create a new project from zero and the video files freeze in the timeline.

The release linked above is not 16.44, but a beta 16.45. From where did you download 16.44?

Here's another possibility. Ignore any virus warnings.

If still no joy, please share the problem project. That's the best way to sort out issues. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps...

Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
Get link --- Right-click the file and click SHARE. If using Google, right-click the file, click SHARE | SHARE. Change "restricted" to "anyone ... can view"
Share --- Click COPY LINK or OK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately. It won't be shared.

* Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

It is weird... i download your file (the 16.34 one) but when i install it, it is the 16.44 (as written on the bottom left of the window).

i'm ok to share the full folder. Is wetransfer ok ?

Something's nutty. Your d/l server should be okay, as long as you give permission. Try it. Follow the steps above closely.

Well i understand.

At each install, i clicked on the french version (and 16.44 is the french version).

Now i've clicked on the english version (16.45) and everything seems to work fine.

That explains it. But the French version shouldn't be failing you, if that's what you have been using.

File a report by clicking the caret at the top-right of the VP window.
