If understood correctly, your work was created while using a very recent release. Then you reinstalled your registered version from 2021, which won't open the project. That is expected. Projects created in the past will open with newer releases, but the opposite isn't always true. There's a workaround...
On the PC, locate the VPJ file for the project. Make a copy, which should appear as (project name) Copy VPJ. Open the copy in Notepad.
At the top left, it likely reads "version 13." Change the version number to 11. Save the file.
Now double-click this newly saved VPJ and ignore the warning. It should load. When editing is complete, save the project under a new name...
Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, the AS choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. That way you're protected, and shouldn't lose anything.
If that doesn't work, try changing the # to 12 instead of 11. Still no load? Come back here for instructions on how to share the project for analysis.
