I have tried this on a number a number of different versions, including the latest version. (I did this with a video a few years ago, and I was able to to do it on videopad, but I can't seem to now)
I have an mp4 video about ten minutes long, I need to slow it down maybe a second or two (related to lining up with some higher quality audio - I would prefer not to change the audio speed --(that function is working if I try that though). The audio is the actual right speed, I don't want to change the pitch (I know there is a keep pitch constant option, but would prefer to just keep audio as it is from the CD version I have). I have done this previously like I say, I know how to use the controls -- change it by a percentage, or change the time length, click 'set' and the percentage value changes too. The speed change I want is about 99.830 % (the CD quality audio goes gradually out of sync with old video/audio - it's a bit more complicated as the video I think changes speed throughout - it's from an old video film - 'audio auto synch' didn't work, but I have done this before, lining up the audio wave forms, then I can just delete the original video audio (which is in in synch with video), if that makes sense.
Just trying to do this, but the video speed change just won't work properly. If I change percentage by a small amount, or time by a second or two, click 'set' . . there is no message saying 'done'.. no error message, the speed change window just closes.. the speed of the video hasn't changed though. Sometimes I can get it to change my putting in a value like 99.5 percent.. then I check the speed after and it says it's now 99.2.. or the other figure that seems to appear in 99.6 %.
I have tried different lower percentages, video lengths and sometimes it seems to work- or changes it to quite close to the length
I have tried converting video to avi, tried other videos, tried cutting it down to 2 minutes see if I could get it to work with shorter video.
I am wondering should this be possible? Or is there a reason why can't slow the video down by such a small amount?

I searched and read a few other posts of people asking this from a few years ago. I downloaded the most recent version, the same issue, and have found a website with older versions. been trying a few going back to 2022, and similar problems (although it does vary a bit from version to version. One 2023 version I at one point got it to about 99.700 %, typing in different length changes, adding a 1 second on, but then when I tried to change it to 99.8 .. checked again it went back to 100% and couldn't get it back.
Anyway, sorry for the long story here. I just thought I would type this out .. see if anyone can see something obvious I'm doing wrong?
Or if this isn't possible for some reason?

Edit: Just tried another version. 8.91. I can quickly an easily change video length with this one. So far it's going okay (the waveforms not as clear/detailed when zoom in, but so far the video length change seems to be working well.
