How to edit quote/invoice numbers

I am new to the MAC version. In Windows, you would go to Settings and enter the next number. When I tried that in MAC, it would not use the number. I need to manually enter some older quotes/invoices that were created manually when I was not able to access the software. How do you change the number in MAC?

Also, how to get rid of the lines between items? The Windows version would not have the lines. I do not see a template in MAC that does not have them.

Any help with these is greatly appreciated.

I have been able to figure out the numbering and I see the default and custom templates in Windows do not have lines but they do in MacOS. Does anyone know if the templates can be exported and imported from Windows to MacOS?
