VideoPad Professional v16.31
I have a video project with front and rear camera videos synced on the timeline (Video tracks 1 & 2) so that both videos can be seen in the sequence. The project has two sequences, each with two video tracks. I let everything cache completely, the clips (green bars) and the sequences (blue bars turning to purple bars), after which I can easily scrub through each of the sequences.
Sometimes I can close VideoPad and re-open the project and the sequences are still cached so I can immediately scrub through them as before. Other times I do the same thing but upon re-entry the sequences and clips have to go through the caching again, completely, as though the previous cache had disappeared. However, I can see from the Temp directory that the data taken up by the first caching process is still there and is being added to by the second caching sequence.
Is there anything I can do to ensure that the project's sequences don't lose the cache every time I reload the project? In fact, I have even seen a sequence start re-caching even when the project is still open. I can think of nothing that I have changed, no saving, no moving the video tracks, no adding of texts or visual effects. Can you provide a list of user actions or events that will trigger sequence re-caching?
