Struggling with transitions since last update / colors not right

When I apply a transition the blue bar across the join only appears on the outgoing clip, leaving the incoming clip untouched. When I play the sequence preview no transition appears. Any suggestions please?

I started to see this also along with the colors being gray. I hope it's fixed soon.

Something is happening with the latest version of videopad. Colors videos are showing as gray images. Not all, some, the system picks and chooses which Colors come through at specific times. Is this a glitch anyone else experiencing with Videopad 16.19?

For both Pete and Sidow's issues ... what version was being used earlier ... that didn't do this?

Let's see the projects. That's the best way to figure out what's going on. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps...

Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
Get link --- Get a public link. Right-click the file and click SHARE. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared.

* Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

What's the encoding of the source files: AVC (H264) or HEVC (H265)? For now, try this release. Ignore any virus warnings. When the next release arrives, try it. The problem may be fixed.

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee is required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If there's an issue, you can always revert.

If the clips are on track one, go to Storyboard mode and look for a gap at the transition point. If found, right-click it and Close Gap.
