I’m playing with an old laptop (u4600-i7) with an Ati 8700M video card.
Normally I use a computer with a nVidia video card using videopad version 10.16
Since that old version is not using the Ati chip, I tought I’ll test drive a newer version.
Version 16.19 is using the Ati chip, but its rather slow.
Here are a couple of quick export results using h.264/aac
Version 16.19 with default GPU that used the Ati chip – 3m.15s
Version 16.19 with the intel integrated chip – 2m.22s
Version 10.16 using the inter integrated chip – 2m.00s
The test project consisted of 4 smartphone clips put together in a 33 seconds video.
Before each test the videopad all cache files were removed.
All exports played fine, but the first test was 0.9 mb smaller
Note: I do not know if the updated x64 and acc programs played a big role.
I realize this is a very limited test. But I get the impression the Videopad only gets slower 🙁
