Videopad takes 30 seconds to start

I recently registered NCH Videopad Master edition. I am running on windows 11 with 16 GIG ram and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz .

My problem is that when I start videopad (click on the desktop icon) the splash screen will come up but it will take up to 30 seconds before the program opens. I do not recall having this issue with the demo version, and I believe it started after I registered the software.

Please advise what I can do to resolve this very slow start?

That does seem excessive. What version is installed? Try the latest, from the NCH web site. If no joy come back here.

v 16.14 I downloaded it yesterday from the website.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

A reinstall won't hurt - might help - and you may not have gotten the 64-bit version, which is preferable.

Thank you for your advice. That seems to have improved it. I will check back if the issue reappears.
