Moving VideoPad

I would like to move my registered VideoPad install onto my SSD. What would be the best way to do this to avoid re-registering?

Just install it. The default location is fixed - C:\ drive. Registering may not be necessary, but if it is click the Menu at the top left to access the dialog.

OK thanks! Should I delete the old installation? I would think it's not good to have two instances.

If VP has been installed on a new SSD C:\ drive and is registered there shouldn't be a need to take further action.

The SSD is not C:, it is E:. I tried an install and it just overwrote the old installation on C:. How can I persuade it to install on the SSD which is E:?

You can't AFAIK. VP always installs on C:\.

That said, under OPTIONS | DISK tab the cache can be directed to E:\ ...

Thanks for the info. I am very surprised that NCH doesn't allow installation on an SSD (unless it's the C drive) considering they they advise that it be installed to an SSD.

Do you work for NCH? Is there any point in asking anyone else, maybe in their support system? And, would it gain anything to move the cache to the SSD, as it would have to move the data between drives?

Caching to the SSD might increase efficiency. Can't see a downside.
