How do you set the default for the number of measures per page?

I am running Crescendo 11.28 on a mac mini running Tahoe 26.3.1 and I don't see settings in the top bar. I've clicked score, edit, notation, help and suite and I don't see it. I've looked at help files and I can't find it. I have a feeling that these buttons move around a lot when new versions are released. It would be great if someone can tell me WHERE this setting is in the latest version.

OK, I found settings under score. but there is no setting for the number of measures in a line. Actually there are two settings buttons, but neither has a setting for the number of measures in a line, though one will let you set the number of beats in a measure for the metronome.

Where to set measures per line

Go to the top menu:
Score → Full Score Options (this may also be labeled “Score Options” or “Full Score Options” depending on build).
In the dialog that opens, click the Layout tab.
Look for an option labeled “Measures per line” or “Measures per system” (or “Maximum measures per line/system”).
Enter the number of measures you want per line (e.g., 4 or 6), then click OK. Crescendo will re‑layout the whole score to respect that limit.

If it still doesn’t appear

Double‑check that you’re in the Full Score Options dialog and not one of the smaller “Score Settings” panels under the Score menu; those smaller ones handle margins, page size, etc., but not measures per system.
If the Layout tab truly has no “measures per line” field, it may be that 11.28 on macOS follows the “Measures per line” touch/dialog concept from the Android/iOS help PDF, which adds a “Measures per line” button that lets you specify the maximum per line and then re‑layouts the score. In that case, hunt for a Layout or Measures per line button in the Score menu or the toolbar, not the main top‑bar “Settings” icon."
