Audio file got flat lined? (total silence)

Sequence 1, explosion3.wav, the file become totally silenced in the media bin view and sequence, while if you play the file itself it's not silent at all.

If it is version 13.x , it might be a bug (I already reported it to NCH Software). Look at my screenshot https://imgbox.com/z9OSv9Gw , maybe you have the same problem.

The only thing you can do is to close your project and clear the unused cache files. Unfortunately the problem appears again very fast.

Not seeing either of those behaviors in v13.21.

Lance ... the explosion 3 file displays a waveform and plays normally whether loaded independently or tested from within the project.

Dangerfreak ... with auto-normalize enabled this file was added, followed by <ctrl-N> | don't save, then the same file was loaded again....

I solved this one by re-downloading the sound effect from NCH library. But it shouldn't have taken place in the beginning.

Tests here were made from your earlier project files, so it was definitely working at that time. Corrupted somehow since?

Could be. dunno when and how. Replaced with newly downloaded explosion3 from NCH library and it's ok now.

@[deleted] I never use auto-normalize for my projects, so this problem might occur with normalize off only. I can reproduce it easily, it always happens.
