convert channels to tracks

I recorded midi output on one track but need to put in 16 tracks to work with notation software. Have to be missing something here?

Hi! Can you confirm if the notation software you are trying to use is Crescendo from NCH as well, or is it from another developer?

I've used several including Cresendo and Finale. I assumed I would need to convert the channels to tracks in Mixpad - great program BTW.
