How to undo an effect

I should be making a trivial mistake.

I just applied Voice Change effect on part of my audio and I didn't like the result. I want to move back to undo the effect and get the original. How do you I remove or undo the applied effect in WavePad?

On wavepad under the home tab you are able to find the undo button, please click on it until it gets back to the step where you want it. Please note that if you already have saved the project and are reloading the project the undo functions might not be available.

Thank you for the fast reply. Unfortunately, I have saved the file and was not able to undo the effect.

The only other way would be to apply the same effects with negative values to the one you've added if it's become beyond CTRL+Z

My advice may seem obvious after the fact, and not helpful with your dilemma, but ... when editing a file never overwrite the original; at least until you are completely satisfied with the results of your efforts/experiments. When saving something you have worked on, choose 'Save File As' (giving it an appropriate name such as 'edit 1' or something) instead of 'Save File" (which will overwrite the original.) (I find it extremely helpful to create a folder and keep all files for the project within it)
