How do I set it up so that sound comes out when I play and not just when I listen back to the recording?

Hi, sorry but what do you mean exactly? If you are referring to playback, you can set the device up under Options> Audio> Device. If you are referring to export your audio as a finished file, you can click on SAVE under home and then follow the prompt.
