Audio files fail to download from camera

Downloaded new version of Video Pad, video files from camera download, but audio files never show up. In the old version, audio files automatically showed up. Nothing now. Quite frustrating. Help?

What kind of camera...and please describe the hook up between camera and Videopad.

I think the problem for me was that on the new version, the audio files don't show up as they did on the former version. They are there, but the wave pattern display is different. I prefer the former display, as there seems to be no way to tell if the audio is present. I cannot hear audio, even if it is there.

Humm. Try this...

Open Windows Control Panel and click on SOUND.

Click the Recording tab and double-click on the input device - perhaps LINE IN. (or MICROPHONE)

Click the Listen tab.

Check the Listen to This Device box.

You then should be able to hear audio as it's being recorded. Any better?
