Photoshop style blend modes?

I am looking for a new SIMPLE video editor and this looks decent but does it support blend modes like in photoshop? All I can find is the overlay feature but it doesn't have the blend modes like some of the open source video editors I use now do.

To assess VP capabilities suggest that you test drive the latest version (64-bit in this case).

Then import some clips and overlays and experiment with the many effects - especially these...

. While not Photoshop blending, you can achieve pleasing results.
