borate Debut capture software and VP use essentially the same routines. Allegedly the Debut team is aware of the issue and is working on it. Stay tuned to this thread for updates.
borate Try this... Open Sound Settings/Related Settings/Sound Control Panel/Recording tab/Line/Properties/Listen tab/Check 'Listen to this device.' Do you hear sound? Does VP capture it?
JMGotts I share your concerns. I use an Easy Capture USB dongle and cannot get any audio. What I wound up doing was taking the left audio output (white RCA connector) from my camcorder and attaching it to the LINE-IN on my desktop PC via aN RCA to 3mm converter cable. Works fine but a PITA.
