Add Subtitle to movie

Hello,
I am trying to add subtitle (hardcoding) to a movie with "Videopad Video editor"
Some lines have the "Italic" sign <i>....</i&gt😉, and they are visible on the encoded movie.
Is it possible to make them invisible without removing them ?

It might more simpler to use the Add Text option. (Simple text overlay) This gives you individual lines of text that you can precisely place relative to the visuals and at the bottom of the screen using the Position effect.
