Cannot enter check numbers in MoneyLine

What do I do to enter a check number in MoneyLine? I have the paid version.

I get the box selected and try to type in it and nothing happens.

I'm using a Macintosh running Mojave.

Problem solved. I'm new to the program and did not select "Check" for the transaction type.
