Insufficient hard drive space

Jinesh

I am trying to split a talking book file 17 hrs in length into 3 min intervals.

When I try to load to split i get the following messages https://snaptube.cam/

I receive message " insufficient hard drive space to store the audio" and another " Wavepad could not open the file for editing"

I have 16gb available on Hard drive

Thanx.

You may want to try and clear the cache by going to WavePad Options> Audio> Clear Cache Retention but if the issue remains, you may send a support ticket here: https://www.nch.com.au/support/supportcontact.html?

You may want to include screenshots showing the error messages too.

What is the size of that file? If you are getting that message, 16GB may not be enough to be able to load and edit the file. Note that a 17 hour file will consume a lot of your system resources, so you will need a powerful computer to be able to process it. In this case, I recommend you free up space on your hard drive to see if it helps. Also, if the file is stored locally on your computer, you can move it to an external hard drive and try to load it from there

Even with 16GB of free space, WavePad might need more room for temporary files. You could also split the 17-hour file into smaller chunks first and then split those into 3-minute intervals.
