Recording while monitoring

Bernard_Tola

Good morning.

I am a very raw beginner at this. I thought that I would record some chamber music by recording myself playing each part and mixing all the tracks into one file, so I purchased Mixpad. However, I am stuck. I can listen to tracks on Mixpad. I can record tracks on Mixpad but I cannot do both at the same time: listen to a track while recording on another track. I am using a RØDE AI-1 audio interface.

I would appreciate any help that I might get.

Hello.

The problem is resolved. It was to do with the settings on my computer. MixPad is very good and does exactly what I want it to do. I had familiarised myself with most of the tutorials before I started and found them very helpful.

Thank you.
