Latest Update file size?

Why is the latest VP update (v10.63) file size so much smaller than the previous one? (about 30%). I am hesitant to update, reading about some of the complaints.

Is it possible that you are comparing 32 with a 64-bit versions? Version 10.63 (32) is 4.28GB. 10.63(64) is 5.18. Don't be too concerned.

Unaware of verified issues or bugs that haven't been addressed. Need specifics, and several users have not followed up.

. . .mmm . . . How does one know whether it is the 32 or 64-bit version? I cannot find a place where one can see this.

Then, when one check for updates on the menu of VP, why would it then say yes to the wrong n-bit version? Shouldn't it stay in-line with the bit version already installed?

Doesn't matter which version is installed, 32- or 64-bit. The next install will overwrite.

To see which it is watch the opening screen when VP loads or click FILE |HELP |ABOUT VIDEOPAD. If it doesn't list "64" it's not.

The popup that appears when clicking the download link may give a clue.

Never thought of looking there.

Not wanting to labour the point, how does one then get the 64-bit version if preferred? Check for update only says "new update available", (without choice?)

It's offered from time to time on the download pages. But this link should fetch it reliably.
