*yawn* iTunes? What on earth does that mean? If my question 'bored' you, I'm sorry. I am a Senior Citizen, and perhaps not as bright as you are, so if there is a more understanding person out there, please tell me what I should do to convert mp3 to wav. Many thanks

Forget about iTunes! You are using Switch.
Click on "Add Files" and then select the file that you want to convert from .mp3 to .wav format. The select dialog box that comes up gives you access to every file on your computer, via a Windows Explorer type of display. I assume that you know how to select a file from this display.
After you have selected the .mp3 file, it will be displayed in the Switch window. Below this window are some buttons for selecting both the location on your computer in which you wish to store the result of your conversion (this is the "output file" location) and the output file format. In this case, the output file is to be a .wav file, which appears on the drop-down list of output formats. Select .wav.
Then click on the file (or files) in the window to select it (or them). If there is more than one file in the window that you have selected for this particular format conversion process, you can choose one or more of these files to operate upon them by selecting them.
And finally, to do the conversion, simply click on the "convert" icon at the top right of the window. The conversion will then begin. Sit back and watch while it happens. When the action stops, you can go to the location selected for your output file and you will see the file (or files) that you have chosen, but with the extension .wav (not .mp3, which was the file or files that chose as the source file(s) to be converted).
That's all that there is to do it. It is much easier to do than to describe.
I hope this has answered your question.
