How add an effect to a selected portion of a sequence

Hello

I need to apply various settings (color, sharpness, brightness etc.) to a portion of a sequence. Presently all can I do affects the whole sequence but I need a specific area

Isolate the portion using splits - at the start and end. The split-out area becomes a clip to which effects can be applied.

If there are several clips within the newly split-out section, effects can be applied at once to them all...

Select al the clips, then add the effect/s. If they are not spontaneously added to all the intended clips, use the Replace Chain icon on the effects toolbar.
