Export Video Greyed Out

Today I downloaded the free version of VideoPad because I had an MP4 file that needed to be rotated. After I rotated the file I could not export it as the Export Video option is not functioning. I read online that there were issues with the free version so I went ahead and purchased the product but that has not resolved the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

What version is being used (look at the left-bottom corner of the Window)?

Please upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum.

Using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."

Whenever I run into export issues I delete the videopad cache files and restart my computer just to be sure.

Hello borate,

The version I am using is 10.12.

Here is a link to an MP4 file that I loaded and rotated. I have cleared cache, rebooted, reinstalled as still the Export Video option is greyed out and not usable.

That link points to the VPJ control file for your project and not the mp4 in question. The VPJ is of no use by itself. Try again.

If you do have a completed project on the timeline (but simply cannot rotate the mp4 file), upload the project. We'll take a look. Follow these simple steps carefully...

Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared.

* Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

I have no problem rotating this file I just can't export it.

Using 10.12, various rotations of the imported file in the bin (top-left) were tested. (Right-click | ROTATE) It exported without a hitch.

Be sure to place the file on the timeline, or it won't export.

Thank you borate. Placing the file on the timeline did the trick.
