YouTube videos with free VP version?

Hi, I am a very small youtuber that is light years from monetization. Could I use the free version to make videos that are not monetized, and when and if I get monetized, buy the pro version, and then monetize the older videos made with the free version? Or would I have to delete the old ones?

If you license the 'Pro' version one would think that existing videos made with an unlicensed release then could be monetized without having to upload them again.
