I've tried many variations of settings but still end up with the volume drift.
By "volume drift," are you talking about a "pumping" up and down of the volume in between louder and softer portions of your recording, as if some sort of automatic level control was active during the recording process?
If yes, then I'm experiencing the same thing. When I make a recording with Wavepad and listen to it, I can hear "pumping" of the volume level, and it's clearly not the playback that's doing it, but rather something in the recording process, and not something that's desireable.
I can't find anything in the NCH Wavepad FAQ about this, nor anything in the program's Help about it either...but maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
BTW, I'm not using any of the advanced settings while recording, and I've experienced this both with the current and with older versions of Wavepad. It has nothing to do with AGC, which is an effect applied to an existing recording...it's happening during the recording process, and I don't understand why, because the sound source itself (MP3, or audio stream off the web, CD playback, or whatever) doesn't have the volume pumping.
Thanks in advance for any help.
